Description
FNIRSI FNB-C2 USB Tester
Precise analysis of power supply parameters, support for the latest fast-charging standards, and extensive diagnostic functions make the FNIRSI FNB-C2 a valuable tool for electronics engineers, service technicians, and DIY enthusiasts alike. The device allows you to analyze power parameters, USB-C cables, and the charging process. It offers a wide measurement range up to 240 W, a data logging function, power quality analysis, and the ability to read information stored in USB-C cables. The package is rounded out by a clear HD display with automatic screen rotation and seamless integration with computers without the need to install additional drivers.
Laboratory-grade accuracy for every measurement
The FNIRSI FNB-C2 uses an external 20-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which ensures laboratory-grade measurement accuracy and allows results to be displayed with up to seven significant digits. The tester measures voltage, current, and power with an accuracy of 0.000001 V, A, and W, allowing you to analyze even very slight changes in power supply parameters. It supports voltages from 4 to 50 V, currents up to 6.5 A, and power up to 240 W, so it works seamlessly with both traditional chargers and modern power supplies rated at 100 W, 140 W, or 240 W. Operational safety is enhanced by a built-in temperature sensor that monitors the device’s temperature in real time with an accuracy of 1°C.
Full Control Over Charging
The tester supports the Power Delivery 3.1 EPR standard using a dedicated chip responsible for protocol communication, ensuring stable compatibility with modern chargers. It automatically recognizes and activates the most popular fast-charging technologies, including UFCS, Quick Charge 2.0, 3.0, 4, and 5, Huawei FCP and SCP, OPPO VOOC and SVOOC, as well as VIVO VFCP. The device can also capture Power Delivery protocol negotiation data between the charger and the powered device, which facilitates the detection of compatibility issues. An additional feature is the conversion of QC communication to PD, which helps improve compatibility between devices using different fast-charging standards.
Detailed Analysis of USB-C Cables
The FNIRSI FNB-C2 allows you to read information stored in the E-Marker chips of USB-C cables. This allows you to check the parameters of 3 A, 5 A, 50 V, EPR, Thunderbolt 3, and Thunderbolt 4 cables, including their type, length, maximum power, data transfer rate, and standard version. The tester also offers a simulation function for various cable configurations—from models without an E-Marker chip supporting up to 60 W of power to cables compliant with the 100 W and 240 W EPR profiles. Standard 24-pin USB-C male and female connectors compliant with USB 4 Gen3 support bidirectional power flow measurement and allow cables to be connected in either orientation.
Professional Power Quality Analysis
The device offers two modes for analyzing power parameters. The first mode allows you to plot voltage, current, and D+ and D− waveforms at a sampling rate ranging from 2 to 1,000 samples per second, while the second is used for rapid analysis of voltage ripple at a sampling rate ranging from 20,000 to 2 million samples per second. The tester also displays the USB bus voltage (VBUS) waveform in real time, allowing for an assessment of power supply stability in the frequency range from 20 kHz to 2 MHz. The recording function allows you to continuously record voltage and current waveforms for up to 9 hours, with the ability to set a recording interval from 1 to 120 seconds and specify the start and end conditions for measurements.
Data to Help Evaluate Performance
The FNIRSI FNB-C2 records measurement results in ten independent sets of statistics covering capacity, energy, and runtime. Based on the collected data, it automatically calculates battery capacity and charging efficiency, facilitating the evaluation of the performance of power supplies, power banks, or cells. This solution allows you to conveniently compare successive measurements and monitor changes in parameters over an extended period of use.
Easy-to-read screen and user-friendly operation
The 1.54-inch color TFT-LCD display with a resolution of 240 × 240 pixels provides a clear view of all parameters. The built-in gravity sensor automatically rotates the image in four directions, ensuring that the display remains easy to read regardless of how the device is oriented. The tester works with Windows and macOS computers without the need to install additional drivers, allowing you to easily expand its functionality and update the software by having the device recognized as a USB flash drive. You can also adjust the screen brightness, auto-dimming time, color theme, and interface language, and quickly restore factory settings if needed.
