How to choose:
• Ecosystem → already have Hue/Aqara/HomeKit? Pick Zigbee/Thread (with hub) or Matter to unify brands.
• Room & brightness → bedrooms ~800–1200 lm per fixture; kitchens/office 1500–3000 lm; use multiple downlights for even spread.
• Color temperature → warm (2700–3000 K) for relaxing, neutral (3500–4000 K) for living areas, cool (5000–6500 K) for tasks.
• Quality → choose CRI ≥ 90 for natural colors over desks, kitchens & creative spaces.
• Outdoors → select IP65 (or higher) and verify operating temperature range.

Install tips: most Wi-Fi lights pair on 2.4 GHz; keep phone close to router for setup. Check bulb size/height in shades (E27/E14) and trim depth for GU10/downlights. For hard-wired fixtures, isolate power before wiring and follow local regulations. Use groups/scenes for quick whole-room control.
