Description
Unitree A2-W
Unitree A2-W is a four-legged industrial robot with wheel drive, designed for efficient and safe movement in demanding terrain. The structure, weighing approximately 37 kg including the battery, combines high mechanical resistance with high operating dynamics. When moving, the device can transport loads weighing up to 25 kg, while in static mode it can stably hold loads of up to 100 kg. The use of wheels increases the efficiency of covering long distances without limiting the robot's ability to cope with obstacles.
Efficient wheel drive – designed for long distances
The A2-W version was developed as an extension of the A2 platform, with the most important change being the integration of wheels that increase movement efficiency. This solution allows for more energy-efficient and smooth movement on varied surfaces, especially over longer distances. The robot maintains stability and control, while better responding to the needs of industrial and logistics environments, where speed and continuity of work are important.
Stability in the field
The A2-W has been adapted to work in spaces where classic mobile robots lose their effectiveness. It safely climbs steps up to 30 cm high and moves on slopes with an incline of up to 45°. Its motion control and robust construction enable it to work on stairs, rubble, rocky ground, and other uneven surfaces. This makes the platform ideal for inspection, patrol, and logistics tasks in hard-to-reach locations.
Designed for intensive use
The robot's mobility is provided by a system of 12 PMSM motors with low-inertia internal rotors, ensuring fast responses even under heavy loads. In addition, the maximum torque of approximately 180 N·m allows for stability during intensive work and dynamic maneuvers. The aluminum alloy and durable plastic construction is designed for long life and resistance to mechanical damage.
Transporting equipment in difficult terrain
The Unitree A2-W can serve as a mobile transport platform in difficult terrain. When moving, it can carry loads of up to 25 kg, and in a static position, its lifting capacity increases to approximately 100 kg. These parameters allow for the transport of tools, measuring devices, and other equipment in places where the use of traditional solutions is difficult. The wheel drive further increases transport efficiency over longer distances.
Real-time environment analysis
The robot uses an industrial LiDAR sensor and a front HD camera, which together are responsible for spatial orientation. This system enables the detection of obstacles and assessment of terrain, allowing for stable and safe movement. In addition, there is front lighting, which improves performance in conditions of limited visibility by illuminating the space when working in closed or dark environments.
Power supply designed for long-term field operations
The A2-W uses a system of two batteries with a capacity of 9000 mAh each, which allows it to perform complex tasks without worrying about rapid discharge. Without a load, the robot can operate for about 5 hours, covering a distance of 20 km. With a load of 25 kg, the operating time reaches 3 hours, which corresponds to approximately 12.5 km of walking. The hot-swap design allows the batteries to be replaced without interrupting the mission, and the entire system has been adapted to operate at temperatures from -20°C to 55°C.
Expandable computing platform
The robot offers a computing system based on an 8-core processor responsible for platform functions and an Intel Core i7 unit designed for user application development. This solution enables even the most advanced tasks to be performed smoothly. In addition, the A2-W supports OTA updates and is equipped with RS485, CAN, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB-C interfaces, facilitating integration with additional systems and external devices.
Communication supporting operational safety
The Unitree A2-W's speaker and microphone enable efficient voice communication and real-time messaging. This solution allows for the ongoing transmission of information during missions and signals the robot's presence, which increases operational safety.
One platform, many applications
The A2-W is used in technical inspections, logistics, field patrols, and rescue operations. The combination of wheel drive, high mechanical resistance, long operating time, and advanced perception systems allows it to operate in places that are difficult to access and potentially dangerous for humans. This solution is designed for users who need a reliable mobile platform to work in demanding environments.
