Description

Unitree A2

Unitree A2 is an advanced industrial-grade quadruped robot designed to work wherever standard solutions fail. Weighing approximately 37 kg (with battery), its design combines high mechanical resistance with dynamic movement and long operating time. The device reaches speeds of up to 5 m/s, transports loads weighing up to 25 kg while walking, and can stably hold up to 100 kg in static mode. It is a robust, professional work platform – designed for intensive use in the field.

It is not afraid of difficult conditions

The A2 is designed to work in complex and unpredictable environments. It easily climbs steps up to 30 cm high and moves on slopes of up to 45°, allowing it to operate on stairs, rubble, rocks, and steep slopes. Advanced stabilization and precise motion control keep the robot balanced even during sudden changes in direction or speed. This makes it ideal for infrastructure inspections, field operations, and work in hard-to-reach locations.

Top-class mechanics

At the heart of the Unitree A2 is a system of 12 PMSM motors with low-inertia internal rotors, which ensures high power and immediate response even under heavy loads. The use of industrial cross bearings in the joints guarantees precision of movement and long-term, stable operation, while the maximum torque of approximately 180 N·m allows the robot to move smoothly with heavy loads without losing control. The whole is complemented by a durable construction made of aluminum alloy and durable plastic.

Platform for transport tasks

The robot has been designed to perform demanding logistics tasks. While walking, it can carry loads of approximately 25 kg, while in a static position its lifting capacity reaches approximately 100 kg. This allows it to easily transport tools, measuring devices, or necessary equipment in places where the use of traditional solutions is difficult, dangerous, or impossible. All this makes Unitree A2 ideal for use as a mobile transport platform in industrial plants, construction sites, and more.

Advanced perception and spatial orientation

A set of sensors, including industrial LiDAR and a front HD camera, is responsible for the robot's safe movement. This system enables accurate analysis of the environment, obstacle detection, and terrain assessment, which translates into precise motion planning. Additional front lighting improves the A2's performance in low-visibility conditions, increasing efficiency and safety during patrols, inspections, or other activities in difficult lighting conditions.

Dual power supply designed for long-term operation

The Unitree A2 uses a system of two batteries with a capacity of 9000 mAh each, which ensures long-term and stable operation. Without any load, the robot can operate in motion for up to 5 hours, covering a distance of up to approximately 20 km. With a load of 25 kg, the operating time is approximately 3 hours, which corresponds to a distance of up to 12.5 km. An additional advantage of the A2 is its hot-swap design, which allows batteries to be replaced without interrupting operation. What's more, the power system will perform well even in harsh conditions, withstanding temperatures from -20°C to 55°C.

Impressive computing power and system openness

The Unitree A2 is designed as a platform ready for the most demanding tasks. The use of an 8-core processor and Intel Core i7 unit allows simultaneous support for motion algorithms, environment analysis, and data processing without any drop in performance. The robot also supports remote OTA updates and is equipped with an extensive set of ports, including 2x RS485, 2x CAN, 2x Gigabit Ethernet, and 4x USB-C. This allows for seamless integration with additional systems.

Voice communication in an industrial environment

The A2 model is equipped with a microphone for voice communication and a speaker for real-time messaging. This solution increases work safety by allowing the robot's presence to be signaled and operational information to be communicated to people in its vicinity.

One platform, many use cases

Thanks to its high power, mechanical resistance, and advanced perception systems, Unitree A2 is suitable for inspections, field patrols, rescue operations, and more. It is perfectly suited to environments that are difficult to access or dangerous for humans. It is a flexible platform ready for complex tasks – its open architecture and wide range of interfaces offer extensive possibilities for further expansion and adaptation of the robot to specific applications.
