The SUNSUN HW-703B 9W UV External Filter is a high-performance solution for freshwater and saltwater aquariums with a capacity of up to 600 liters. The unit combines a high flow rate of 1,400 l/h with a four-stage filtration system and a built-in 9W UVC lamp, which helps reduce the growth of algae, bacteria, and other microorganisms. A spacious filter media basket, flow rate adjustment, 360° swivel connections, and a ceramic impeller shaft ensure effective filtration, convenient operation, and reliable daily performance. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 270 x 270 x 440 mm, the filter can be easily placed under or next to the aquarium, saving valuable space.

Four-stage filtration system for clean and healthy water

The HW-703B model is equipped with a spacious filter basket that accommodates various filter media. The set includes filter sponges, filter floss, ceramic rings, and bio balls, which provide effective mechanical and biological filtration. The filter traps suspended particles and larger debris while creating optimal conditions for the growth of bacteria that support the aquarium’s biological balance. Additionally, chemical filtration media such as activated carbon can be used.

Built-in 9 W UVC lamp

The filter’s greatest advantage is its integrated UVC sterilizer, which passes water through a special reactor and exposes it to ultraviolet radiation. This reduces the presence of algae, bacteria, and other undesirable microorganisms. Contaminants eliminated by the lamp are then removed during mechanical filtration, resulting in clearer water and better conditions for the aquarium’s inhabitants. The lamp’s service life ranges from 7,000 to 10,000 hours of operation.

Convenient operation and hassle-free maintenance

The filter is equipped with a manual pump to facilitate initial startup and system air purging. A multifunctional valve with a quick-connect fitting allows you to disconnect the hoses without draining the filter of water, and also enables flow regulation. 360° rotatable hose connections make it easy to position the unit in the desired location. Practical filter baskets with handles allow you to quickly remove the media and clean them.

Quiet operation and robust construction

Despite its high performance, the SUNSUN HW-703B filter operates relatively quietly, and rubber feet effectively dampen vibrations. The ceramic impeller shaft ensures smooth pump operation and the durability of the entire system. The housing, made of ABS and PVC materials, ensures resistance to daily use, and the IPX4 waterproof rating enhances safety. The maximum water lift is 2 meters, making the filter suitable for many aquarium setups.
