SMALLRIG VT-20 Aluminum Mini Tripod

The SmallRig VT-20 4289 is a compact aluminum tripod designed for mirrorless and DSLR cameras, smartphones, action cameras, and other photography equipment. The five-section legs allow for height adjustment ranging from 17 to 52 cm, and the maximum load capacity of 6 kg makes it possible to work with even more extensive equipment setups. When folded, the tripod is just 18 cm long and weighs about 700 g, making it easy to pack into a camera bag or backpack.

Quick Height and Leg Angle Adjustment

The quick-lock mechanism allows you to efficiently extend the five leg sections and adjust the tripod’s height to suit your current shot. The leg spread angle can be set to three positions: 23°, 50°, or 80°, making it easy to shoot from both typical heights and very close to the ground. The angle lock allows you to quickly change the setting without time-consuming adjustments.

Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Ball Head

At the top of the tripod is a panoramic ball head compatible with the Arca-Swiss standard, which allows for 360° rotation. The ability to tilt the head 90° makes it easier to take photos and record videos in portrait orientation, which is useful, among other things, when creating content for social media. The quick-release plate also allows you to efficiently mount or remove the camera without having to unscrew the entire mount each time.

Stable aluminum construction and expandability

The legs and center column, made of aluminum, combine a lightweight design with adequate stability during photography and video recording. The leg joints feature 1/4"-20 threaded holes to which you can attach additional accessories, such as a Magic Arm, microphone, viewfinder, or video transmission system. This allows the SmallRig VT-20 to serve as a compact, expandable tripod for use at home, in the studio, or on location.

Compact Size and Practical Kit

When folded, the SmallRig VT-20 measures approximately 180 × 88 × 80 mm, making it ideal as a portable tripod for trips and short shoots. The kit includes a smartphone mount, a hook, an Allen wrench, and a user manual, allowing you to adapt the tripod to various workflows. The model is not resistant to sand or dust, so when using it in harsher conditions, it’s a good idea to protect the leg mechanisms from dirt.
