The ONIKUMA GT889 is a gaming headset with a microphone that offers three connection modes: 2.4 GHz via a USB receiver, Bluetooth 5.4, and a wired connection. They feature 50 mm drivers, a 1000 mAh battery providing up to approximately 60 hours of playback, and RGB lighting. The model is compatible with, among others, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, computers running Windows 10 and Windows 11, and macOS devices, making it suitable for gaming as well as everyday music listening and calls.

Three Connection Methods

The 2.4 GHz mode uses the included USB receiver and provides wireless transmission with low latency, which is especially important during fast-paced gaming sessions. Bluetooth 5.4 lets you conveniently connect the headphones to compatible devices without additional cables, while wired mode offers a practical alternative when you prefer not to use wireless transmission. The wireless range is approximately 15 meters, so you don’t have to stay right next to your computer or console while using them.

50-mm Drivers and a Communication Microphone

The headphones are equipped with 50-mm drivers and a frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, making them suitable for gaming as well as listening to music or watching movies. The microphone is mounted on a flexible boom, allowing you to position it comfortably while chatting with other players. The microphone is controlled directly from the headset, so muting it doesn’t require opening additional settings on your computer.

Convenient Controls and RGB Lighting

The ONIKUMA GT889 features dedicated controls on the housing for adjusting volume, managing playback, skipping tracks, and controlling the microphone and lighting. The RGB lighting is located on the outer parts of the ear cups and on the flexible headband that forms the headphone’s outer frame, while the actual headband that rests on the head remains black and is not illuminated. This design gives the headphones a gaming-style look, and the ability to turn off the lighting allows you to customize their appearance to suit your current preferences.

1000 mAh Battery and Comfort During Long Gaming Sessions

The built-in 1000 mAh battery provides up to approximately 60 hours of playback, and charging takes about 2 hours. A USB-C port is used for charging, making it easy to use commonly available charging cables. The soft, breathable ear cushions fit snugly around the ears and are designed for extended use, making these headphones ideal for hours-long gaming sessions on a computer or console.
