| Description | Quality of Service (QoS) The DGS-1530 Series offers a comprehensive set of multi-layer QoS/CoS features that ensure high priority for critical network services such as VoIP, video conferencing, IPTV, and IP surveillance. Flexible packet classification can be based on various header fields, helping administrators prioritize network traffic. Traffic Shaping ensures adequate bandwidth for mission-critical services during periods of high network congestion. Multi-layer QoS/CoS features allow IT administrators to more effectively manage network resources in enterprise environments. Identity-Driven Network Policies The DGS-1530 Series supports authentication mechanisms such as 802.1X Port-based Access Control (Port-based Access Control), Web-based Access Control (WAC), and MAC-based Access Control (MAC), providing strict access control to network resources. Once authenticated, individual policies, such as VLAN membership, QoS policies, and ACL rules, can be assigned to each host. Furthermore, the switches support Microsoft(R) Network Access Protection (NAP), which protects network resources from threats originating from compromised computers by enforcing device compliance with security and network health policies. Manageability D-Link Single IP Management (SIM) simplifies and accelerates network management tasks by allowing configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of multiple switches from a web browser, provided network connectivity is maintained. All switches can be managed as a single virtual stack, allowing physically separated switches to be managed through a single IP address. The DGS-1530 Series also supports management tools such as a web UI, SSH, Telnet, and console, as well as standards-based protocols such as SNMP, RMON, and TLS. Security & Authentication The DGS-1530 Series offers user and device authentication, including host-level authentication and authorization, enabling granular network access control for every device. Advanced features such as RADIUS Accounting allow the switches to be integrated with back-end systems for billing or advanced access control. The DGS-1530 series also supports address and interface binding features such as IP-MAC-Port Binding and ARP Spoofing Prevention, which help protect the network against Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks and ARP Spoofing attacks. |
