NEEWER DL400 Mobile Camera Platform

The NEEWER DL400 is a motorized camera dolly for photography and video recording that allows you to capture smooth shots along a straight path, an arc, or a circle. It offers 5 speed levels ranging from 60 s/m to 15 s/m, a load capacity of up to 3 kg, and very quiet operation at a noise level not exceeding 30 dB. It can be controlled directly from the device or via the NEEWER app, and the included ball head allows for 360° rotation and 90° tilt. The NP-F750 battery, with a capacity of 4,400 mAh, provides up to 5 hours of runtime, while the included mounts allow you to use not only SLR and DSLR cameras, but also smartphones and action cameras.

Smooth motion with 5-speed settings

The precise drive allows you to adjust the speed to suit the nature of the shot you’re capturing. There are five settings to choose from: 60 s/m, 50 s/m, 35 s/m, 25 s/m, and 15 s/m, and you can adjust the speed using the slider’s controls or the app. The design utilizes a high-precision stepper motor and an ultra-quiet dual drive system, ensuring that the operating noise level does not exceed 30 dB. Anti-slip rings on the wheels help maintain smooth and stable movement, reducing the risk of unwanted vibrations during recording.

Straights, curves, and circles—greater freedom in framing

The DL400 doesn’t limit the operator to moving in a straight line. Adjusting the wheel angle allows for movement along curved paths, arcs, and circles, enabling you to create more varied camera movements. The dolly also allows for manual movement adjustment within a range of ±30° to the left and right, and the wheel angle indicator reaches up to 60°. Complementing the framing capabilities is a ball head with 360° rotation and 90° tilt, which makes it easy to position a camera at the desired angle.

App Control and Time-Lapse Mode

The NEEWER app allows you to wirelessly control the dolly from your smartphone and use manual mode, Live Video mode, and time-lapse recording. This lets you adjust movement and speed without having to reach for the device itself every time. A camera shutter release cable, available separately, is required for time-lapse photography. Manual control of the Slider Dolly is also possible, but you must remove the battery before operating it manually.

Up to 5 hours of battery life with the NP-F750

The included NP-F750 battery, with a capacity of 4400 mAh, provides up to 5 hours of operation, allowing for longer sessions without having to frequently pause recording to recharge. The kit includes a USB Type-C cable for charging as well as for firmware updates. The manufacturer recommends fully charging the battery before first use to extend its lifespan.

3 kg Load Capacity and Wide Compatibility

The DL400 has a maximum load capacity of 3 kg, allowing it to be used with DSLR cameras, action cameras, and smartphones. The product materials indicate compatibility with cameras from Canon, Sony, Nikon, and Fujifilm, and the included accessories also allow you to mount, among others, the iPhone 17 Air, 16e, and 15 Pro Max/Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the Pixel 10 Pro. For action cameras, compatibility is listed with, among others, the GoPro Hero 13 and 12, DJI OSMO Action 6, Pocket 3, Insta360 X5, and Ace Pro 2. The dolly features a 1/4" mounting point, and its compact design measures 229 × 175 × 65 mm and weighs 1.7 kg.

Stable operation even on sloped surfaces

The cart can operate on surfaces with a slope of up to 30°, which expands the possibilities for capturing moving shots even in less standard settings. However, when driving uphill, use a low speed—preferably 1st or 2nd gear—and avoid the 60 s/m setting, as it may cause vibrations or jerks. The camera or camcorder is not included in the set.
