xTool Rover Robotics Accessory Kit
The xTool Rover Robotics kit allows you to modify the mBot2 and create new designs for learning robotics, programming, and creative play. Among other things, this expansion kit enables you to prepare the robot to navigate varied terrain, climb slopes with an incline of up to 40°, and perform tasks involving grasping, lifting, and carrying objects.
New Designs and Navigation on Challenging Terrain
Rover Robotics lets you modify the design of your mBot2 and adapt it for new experiments. Depending on the configuration you build, the robot can use a track-based drive system, which makes it easier to navigate grass, gravel, and other uneven surfaces. The design can climb slopes of up to 40°, so play and learning don’t have to be limited to just a flat floor or tabletop.
Gripping, Lifting, and Creative Experiments
Expansion components allow you to create designs equipped with mechanisms for gripping and manipulating objects. The robot can thus grasp, lift, lower, and release small objects, allowing you to prepare more complex tasks and projects. Rebuilding the mBot2 also helps you gain hands-on experience with the fundamentals of robotics, including mechanics, design, and operation.
Learning Robotics Combined with Programming
After upgrading the mBot2, you can still take advantage of its programming capabilities, including the mBlock environment, which offers block-based programming and support for Python. This allows users not only to build a new structure but also to program how it operates and test the results of their code in practice. The kit therefore fits well with a hands-on, experimental learning approach, allowing users to combine building, programming, and solving various tasks.
