MEROSS MA151-UN Smart Wi-Fi Smoke Detector
The MEROSS MA151-UN smoke detector uses advanced dual-optical detection technology to ensure fast and accurate detection of hazards even before a fire breaks out. With a loud ≥85 dB alarm audible from 3 meters away and full 360° coverage, the device effectively enhances the safety of household members. The compact 125 × 125 × 33 mm ceiling-mounted design and dual AA battery power supply ensure convenient installation and a long operating life of up to 3 years.
Precise smoke detection and fewer false alarms
The use of Dual Optical Detection technology allows for the detection of both white and black smoke, which significantly increases the sensor’s effectiveness. Multi-standard optics ensure sensitivity and measurement accuracy while reducing the risk of unnecessary alarms. Additionally, the device performs automatic self-tests, which can also be initiated via the app, ensuring the system functions properly at all times.
Integrated whole-home alarm system
The sensor works with a dedicated Meross hub (not included), enabling the creation of a connected alarm system. If smoke is detected by one device, all paired sensors trigger an alarm, increasing the effectiveness of alerts throughout the home. Even in the absence of internet or power to the hub, local communication continues to function, ensuring uninterrupted protection. The hub itself features a 110 dB audible alarm and an ultra-fast response time of 2 ms.
Smart scenarios and full control via the app
From the Meross app, you can create automations that enhance safety and convenience. For example, smoke detection can automatically turn off other devices in the home. The app also allows you to view event history going back up to 10 years and sends notifications about alarms, low battery levels, device issues, or its offline status. Critical alerts can bypass your smartphone’s silent mode, ensuring you don’t miss important information.
User comfort and features tailored to everyday life
"Do Not Disturb" mode allows you to turn off the indicator light and low-battery notifications at night, promoting a peaceful sleep. The alarm mute function lasts for about 10 minutes, and the low-battery warning can be temporarily disabled for about 10 hours. Additionally, device testing is performed directly from your smartphone, eliminating the need to reach for the sensor mounted on the ceiling.
